Last Autumn we were a bit restless. Is was a beautiful Autumn day and you could this feel the warmth in the sun. It felt so good standing on our balcony. It was time to head out and we ended up in National Park Veluwezoom near Arnhem. Why there? Because of all the beautiful pictures we saw on social media of the moors in bloom.
We stepped in our car and we parked it at the trainstation in Dieren. A trail starts here and it is around 14K long to Velp. It is also possible to shorten it and walk 11K to Rhenen. In both places you can take the train back to Dieren. The trail takes you over beautiful estates and through awesome forests. Halfway you will reach the Posbank and we saw the blossoming moors. We were not disappointed. We have the pictures to prove it.
Starting in June we will start with our trip around the world. In preparation we want to hike a 2 day trail somewhere in the Netherlands. We need to get used to our backpacks and get some mileage into our feet. We are thinking about the 2 day trail on Texel but perhaps you have better trails for us? We thank you in advance.
