In our search for information we look at a lot of travel blogs. As you probably know there are a lot of travel blogs and at a certain point you see the forest for the trees. There are just too much. But we have found several which we find useful. We would like to point out one at this time: http://www.nomadicmatt.com/.
Matt just launched a new website and you can easily find information about cheap flights, money saving tips, travel hacking and life on the road. He has been travelling the world for 9 years now and lives in New York. He has written a book about his experiences and the title of the book is ‘How to travel the world on $50 a day’. He also issued a couple of city trip books for the budget traveller.
In one of his blogs he asked for people to join a case study. In his case study he want to help readers plan their trip from start to finish and insprire people to start travelling. This way he can show that travelling is for everybody. For people with low income, for families, couples, female travellers and people from every age and background. We were immediately enthusiastic and we signed up. In the end 4 people were chosen from 450 applicants and we were one of the four. Is this cool or what!
We talked on the phone a couple of times and he helps us think about saving money and cut back our expenses. In the future his help will consists of seeking cheap flights, planning our trips and other tips. We can only imagine that we will post more blogs about this topic the next couple of months. Make sure you check out his website and while you are at it. Read his blog where he announces us as one of his case-study subjects: http://www.nomadicmatt.com/travel-blogs/case-study-project/.
